Bond Street Station
We were appointed to deliver the remodelled station which accommodates the additional demand created by Crossrail. Providing a new entrance, addition of escalators, interchange to the Bond Street Crossrail station and improvement to interchange and step free access between lines.
Our knowledge of specifying on the underground has enabled us to utilise an appropriate palette of compliant materials. Ensuring that they are harmonious with the original character and design. Creating a sense of order, comfort and security through clutter free legible spaces identifiable as part of the existing station.
Materials that maximise lifespans, are easy to clean and easy to repair and replace were used.
We provided heritage and conservation advice in relation to minimising the impact of major excavation and tunnelling works to 2 Stratford Place and other adjacent buildings in Stratford Place. We carried out heritage surveys and liaised with Stakeholders, the Local Authority and English Heritage.
