Scott Brownrigg's design for the new Three Rivers Academy in Surrey is a Finalist in the World Architecture Festival (WAF) Completed School Award. This is a wonderful achievement, enhanced by Three Rivers Academy being the only School in the UK to have been shortlisted.

Replacing the former Rydens Enterprise School, the 1,875-pupil school is a rare example of a new state school building procured outside the Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) Contractor Framework. Commissioned by the Surrey based Multi-Academy Trust - The Howard Partnership, the new school provides high quality, spacious facilities to inspire 21st Century learning, with a Vision to create a “world class learning environment for students”.

The World Architecture Festival is dedicated to celebrating, sharing and inspiring outstanding architecture. It is the only architecture event where keynote talks from the industry’s most influential figures sit alongside live judging presentations from over 500 award finalists plus global networking and an international product exhibition.

Held in Amsterdam on the 28-30 November, the WAF awards sit at the heart of the festival, the only global awards programme where architects present their completed buildings and future projects live to a panel of internationally renowned judges and delegates from around the world.
